Professional Bio
Professor Caroline Homer AO is midwife and Deputy Director, Gender Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the Burnet Institute in Melbourne and Emeritus Professor of Midwifery at the University of Technology Sydney. She also holds honorary professorial roles at Deakin, Monash and Cardiff universities, King’s College London and the University of Melbourne. Caroline holds an L3 NHMRC Investigator Grant and was awarded an Elizabeth Blackburn Award in 2023 as the highest raked female in health services research. She was awarded the Alistair Lucas Prize at the Burnet in 2021, was awarded the Medal of Distinction from the Women’s Healthcare Australasian in 2019 and is an elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and medical Sciences.
