This session will welcome participants to CDNM Research Week, emphasising the crucial role of research in nursing and midwifery excellence. It will also highlight the importance of research in healthcare outcomes and advancing skills within the new Nursing Workforce Strategy, and explore operationalising a research stream in a national strategic plan.

This session will explore the 'big ideas in nursing and midwifery research' and emphasise the importance of CDNM leading in research policy and strategy. It will also consider the significance of Research Week and how RAG and MAG will build a future-focused research agenda from the week's activities.
